Live at the 930 Listening Room on November 26th, 2009 - Louisville, KY

The Bowerbirds performance from November 16th is now available for download in the audio section. ( Alternately you can listen to the full concert via our podcast, or streaming directly in your browser via the embedded player at the bottom of this post.)

A small note: The fuzz on the guitar is not part of the recording process, but rather was a malfunction of the amp on stage. It was in need of repair but the Bowerbirds played on despite this setback! I attempted to ‘mellow out’ the tone but I could only do so much. The recording is a 4 channel matrix, and although very simple, captured the night beautifully! Enjoy!

Gallery – Rural Kentucky

This past weekend we went on a drive through Northern Kentucky (just north of Louisville, south of Cincinnati, OH) and Danielle took tons of photos. Many of them will be printed up but for now you can see a few of them in the photography gallery. This series covers farmlands off I-71 North of Louisville, and the next series will cover I-65 South of Louisville.

The picture above is from the Nadus 2009 Fundraiser. This is the 3rd gallery from the Nadus benefit and it showcases Edgehill Avenue. In addition to photography we also recorded the show. Brand new photo gallery update! Part one of the Nadus fundraising event is now live in the photography section. Point1Zero and OK Zombie are the first two bands to be featured from this event. Be sure to visit their websites! Every band’s performance was recorded and is being released in some form or another.

The Nadus fundraiser event was an all-encompassing task that we are only now beginning to recover from! We recorded every band at the event and are in the process of polishing and mastering the tracks for every band that has requested them. We will soon be featuring podcast interviews, track samples and digital photography from a few of the bands from the gig.

We are preparing several live shows for download. Some of those shows include Mike Mangione, Vandaveer, Brooks Ritter, Tim Fite, Jamie Barnes, Judd and Maggie, Cool Hand Luke, Foxhole and many others. A few people have requested specific shows, so I will post those in the other that they have been requested. If there is a specific gig you would like to hear just let us know.

Black and White Gallery

The Photography section has been updated. The first gallery features some of Danielle’s black and white film photography from 2006 to 2008. Limited prints are available. This is the first of many gallery updates.
