Haiti Benefit 2010 – Support Go Ministries!

We are proud to announce the release of the 2010 Haiti benefit recording! It is available in our online store, and will later be available at iTunes, Amazon, LaLa and all other global mp3 distribution networks. 100% of the proceeds from this recording will go to fund Jeff and Vicki’s ministry work in Haiti.

The download features 9 tracks from the Breachbent Concert at the 930 Listening Room in Louisville, KY. If you were at the show, then we hope this serves as a wonderful souvenir of the heart-felt performances by these well-loved local musicians! Ryan Anderson – 08-03-07- Live at the 930!

I have been digging through the back catalog over the past few weeks and found a unique show… Ryan Anderson played an acoustic set with John Whitaker back in 2007. Any show in 2007 was a small show, and this one was bare bones. Very small captive audience, stripped down acoustic sets for both artists, and the recording is a raw soundboard tap and it shows. If you can get past the rugged un-polished recording then you might enjoy the transparent singer-songwriter performances of the show.

Bowerbirds – 11-16-09 – Live at the 930!

Live at the 930 Listening Room on November 26th, 2009 - Louisville, KY

The Bowerbirds performance from November 16th is now available for download in the audio section. ( Alternately you can listen to the full concert via our podcast, or streaming directly in your browser via the embedded player at the bottom of this post.)

A small note: The fuzz on the guitar is not part of the recording process, but rather was a malfunction of the amp on stage. It was in need of repair but the Bowerbirds played on despite this setback! I attempted to ‘mellow out’ the tone but I could only do so much. The recording is a 4 channel matrix, and although very simple, captured the night beautifully! Enjoy!

We have a major content update in progress and on the way. First off, almost all of the videos from Shyaway’s performance at Phoenix Hill Tavern are up for viewing. You can find them on youtube or under our video section. Here’s one of my favorite clips…

The recording of Cool Hand Luke is almost ready to post. We should have it ready for download very soon! Additionally, the Bowerbirds performed last night at the 930! Fantastic performance and the recording came out beautifully! We will be polishing it off and posting it (along with a photography gallery) later this week or early next week at the latest!

In response to a few emails, this week we will be posting Cool Hand Luke‘s first performance at the 930 Listening Room. It is a matrix recording and sounds very unique compared to others we have posted.

A special thanks goes out to Jeffrey Lee Puckett over at the Courier Journal for posting an article covering our website in the Saturday Scene. The man does a great job of covering music both online and in the ville. For those of us who never pickup a physical newspaper, the Courier makes their content available for free online.

Mike Mangione and his band are phenomenal players and the new stuff they showcased is as impressive as the material from their first tour! Brooks Ritter writes his music like its his last day on earth. He writes from his heart.

Wovenhand! – Audio Download

Wovenhand performed at the 930 Listening Room last October… Fantastic performance. I had never heard of Wovenhand prior to this gig, and I will make every attempt to see his band live if they come near Louisville again. I will refrain from over-hyping the performance and would much rather let you hear a sample on the podcast below. If you dig it, download the whole show in the audio downloads section. The guys in the band were extremely kind to allow this release. Please send them a kind word on their site if you appreciate this recording!
